Touchscreen issues on the Ticwatch E

I have had my Ticwatch E for about two weeks now and today, the touchscreen stopped working. I have tried rebooting the watch twice, but that did not change anything. Everything else seems to be working, I was able to access Google Assistant and reboot the watch by long-pressing the button. I suspect that the issue may be related to the outside temperature in Berlin at about -2°C, but I have been unable to confirm that. I would be grateful for any advice.
